ABOUT THIS PROGRAMME: With increasing competition from within and across the globe, price is becoming a matter of better Negotiation Skills. This is applicable across Consumer Goods as well as Industrial Products. u Selling and procurement are thus two sides of the same coin. The Programme would cover techniques in both Purchasing as well as Sales Negotiations. Attaining proficiency and excellence in negotiating skills would go a long way in realisation of the corporate objective of effectiveness and profitability. This workshop will outline the factors which contribute to constructive and successful negotiations. It combines sound practical advice with lively case-studies and exercises to cover various aspects of the negotiating process.  PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES:

  • To enable the participants understand the skills and the tactics required for effective negotiation.

Session- 1: What is Negotiation, Why and When? - Purpose and Objectives - Barriers to Effective Negotiation - Fixing the Targets and Prioritizing. Session- 2: The Negotiation Process – The Seven Stages of Negotiation – Preparing, Debating, Signaling, Proposing, Packaging, Bargaining and Closing and Agreeing.

AFTERNOON SESSION: 2.00 P.M. TO 5.30 P.M.

Session- 3 : Qualities of Good Negotiator - Acquiring the Skills - Conflict Management, Controlling the Emotions, Interpersonal Relationship during Negotiation - Understanding the Body Language. Session- 4 : Process of Negotiation - Strategies - Venue - Arrangements - Time Limits - Dos and Donts - Win Win Strategy - Closing the Deal.  
COURSE MATERIAL: Would include a comprehensive set of notes with illustrations on the topics to be presented by the faculty.
